Restrictions on Supervision and Examination of Thesis

Amoud University, being the most popular institution of higher learning in Somaliland, is conscious of the fact that it has to influence every minute sector of the country even as it aspires to be a paragon of excellence in education and scholarship in the Horn of Africa, as well as a pioneer in the promotion of understanding between the various cultures and communities in the region.

The School of Postgraduate Studies and Research (SPGSR) of Amoud University co-ordinates all postgraduate programmes in the University and reports on the same to Senate. The postgraduate programmes include postgraduate certificates, postgraduate diplomas and higher degrees (Masters/Doctoral).

1. A candidate who is unable to submit a postgraduate project within the stipulated time in accordance with clause 5.3 (1 - 4) may apply for extension of studies, to the Dean of SPG&S through the candidate’s supervisors and Dean of Faculty clearly stating the reasons for extension and provide sufficient evidence.
