The 128 students were from seven different specialization areas namely Master of Public Health (MPH) in human nutrition, Master of Public Health (MPH) in epidemiology, Master of Education (MED) in Educational Policy and planning, Master of Public Health (MPH) in human nutrition, Master of Public Health (MPH) in human nutrition, Master of Business Administration in Project Planning and Management, Master of Science (MSC) in Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability, Master of Science (MSC) in Research and Data Analysis.

The viva voce was done from Thursday, September 10th 2020 to Monday, September 14th, 2020. The vivas were fully done online. The viva was officially opened by Prof. Suleiman Ahmed Gulaid, President, Amoud University. He was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Muse Jibril, Vice President, Academic Affairs, Amoud University, Mohamed Mohamoud Jama "Derie", Vice President, Public Relations and Community Outreach, Amoud University, Mukhtar Abdi Omar, Dean School of Postgraduate Studies and Research (SPGSR), Mukhtar Ahmed Omar, Associate Dean, Amoud SPGSR, Hargeisa Campus, Mrs. Saida Abdirahman Omar, Associate Dean, AUSPGSR, Borama Campus.
